Ahmed Al-Aroumi, Vice Chairperson, is an accomplished Environmental Engineer, Sustainability Expert, and Climate Change Specialist from Oman, with over a decade of professional experience in environmental protection, sustainable consumption and production, cleaner production, environmental inspections, and multi-stakeholder program coordination.
Throughout his career, he has led environmental surveys and assessments, coordinated national environmental programs, including activities related to the Rotterdam Convention, and managed international partnerships, knowledge exchanges, and sustainability-focused initiatives. His work is strongly centered on environmental sustainability, climate action, and Education for Sustainable Development.
As an Environmental and Climate Change Specialist, Hon. Al-Aroumi brings valuable technical expertise, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive world. In his role as Vice Chairperson, he contributes his experience and leadership toward promoting global peace, advancing women’s rights, empowering communities, and supporting sustainable development worldwide.
